PostSubject: Navigation and applications   Sun Jul 27, 2008 8:34 am

I've had a few possible recruits wanting to join but they found the website confusing despite all of outstanding directions. They end up saying "it's not worth it". Yes I think it's a good thing but not everyone is willing to put personal information on this site even though it's not totally required. That and that possible recruits do not want to waste thier game time on a website and not playing.

Just a few notes personally there are some good players out there even some who are with our raiding guild that want to be a part of the namesakian family. Any comments please direct them to newbpwner80 or as you know me Soularburn.

I dont' see how hard it is to type "www.thenamesakes.powerrpg.com" and click "Home" "Applications" and then fill one out. And My line of thinking is that if someone cant' take 5 minutes to fill it out whos to say they'll take the time to go out of their way and help their fellow guild members. But if its discouraging possible members then perhaps its time to find a new way to recruit. Also, I don't ask that people spend more time on the website than on the game. ALL I ASK is that my members check it out once a day to see whats going on, who needs help, when meetings are, etc. The only possible alternative I can think of to the Application process is to change it to an interview and having my officers post the application so that they're private. If that sounds like a good idea I'll take the steps to set up "interview" questions and change the Application thread to officers only.

Do you mean like an in game interview? With those specific questions? Then that would save time so they dont have to make an application just to be turned down. Dont get me wrong boss youre doing a great job. This just takes away from the fun factor a bit. kkttyl in game.

Ok its either take away the fun a little bit and get to know a new member.... or have shitty members who just want to join a guild. And if we take away any application process then we need to make the promotion process harder.

NO boss you got me wrong, the app process is good. I just think like an in game interview would be sufficient...but your the boss and i am a namesakes dreadknight.
